Early stadiums were constructed with elevated seating surrounding an elliptical depression (natural or manmade), which provided ideal audience sightlines. The central space was referred to as the Arena.

While modern stadiums and arenas adhere to that original “viewing” criterion, they are also called upon to be impressive, creative and lively gathering places, where athletes are able to demonstrate their abilities before an engaged audience.

Ducharme is proud to support the design process by providing ideal spectator seats for virtually any application.

Throughout history, impresarios and patrons of the arts have sought to design venues within which performing artists may engage and delight audiences. Throughout its history, the Ducharme team has developed a heightened understanding of the role this company can play in nurturing those relationships.

Chair design today must include luxurious cushioning and fine wood veneers to deliver exquisite comfort and aesthetics.

To meet the need for flexible environments, Ducharme offers a wide range of versatile seating, capable of accommodating a variety of configuration and capacity requirements.

From the establishment of the first university in the 10th century to today’s community schools educational facilities have been challenged to accommodate instruction, lectures, testing, motivation and, most recently, technology integration.

Learning environments today must encourage creativity, while being flexible enough to accommodate the increased diversity in the student population and curricula. Both public and private institutions are challenged to optimize the use of space, while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
